Dolby Atmos production is a mess. Not conceptually, spatially placing audio objects in three-dimensional space makes complete sense. The mess is the workflow: incompatible DAWs, impossible routing, a Pro Tools session that locks you out of recording new tracks the moment you commit to an Atmos mix, and a reverb problem nobody talks about. Standard reverb plugins live in stereo. Your mix doesn't anymore. The All Dolby Atmos Bundle with Spacelab Ignition by Fiedler Audio exists specifically to cut through that tangle. It's a four-plugin suite built for producers, composers, and mix engineers who want a complete, Dolby-approved Atmos production chain without abandoning their current DAW or their favourite plugins. The price is $849 USD. We think it's worth it for the right person, and a skip for everyone else.

The Problem This Solves

Here's the actual frustration. You're working in Pro Tools, Ableton, or Logic. A client needs a Dolby Atmos deliverable for Apple Music. You know what that means: rewiring your monitoring, learning a dedicated Atmos renderer, and losing the ability to record new ideas mid-mix because the standard Dolby Atmos workflow in Pro Tools locks the session the moment you arm the renderer.

Fiedler Audio All Dolby Atmos Bundle with Spacelab Ignition

We've sat in that session. It's annoying. You're three-quarters through a string arrangement, you want to drop a late-arriving vocal take onto a new track, and the DAW says no.

The Dolby Atmos Composer workflow lets you bring all the features of your DAW, your favourite plugins, effects or instruments, into your Dolby Atmos mix. You can record new tracks while already mixing for Dolby Atmos, which is impossible when using certain standard Dolby Atmos workflows, especially on Pro Tools. That one capability alone is worth serious money to working engineers.

What's Actually in the Bundle

Four tools. Not two. The marketing tends to spotlight Dolby Atmos Composer and Spacelab Ignition, but the bundle saves $197 compared to buying the products individually because it includes all of the following.

Fiedler Audio All Dolby Atmos Bundle with Spacelab Ignition

Dolby Atmos Composer is the routing engine. Approved by Dolby Labs, it eliminates the unnecessary burden of manual setup for your Atmos workflow and removes the need to use a DAW capable of immersive audio production. It includes the Dolby Atmos Beam panning plugin for automating object movement, and exports your work as ADM/BWF for direct distribution to platforms such as Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, and Netflix.

Spacelab Ignition is the spatial reverb. It combines reverb, panning, and spatial audio into one plugin because they naturally belong together. The reverb algorithms come from Fraunhofer IIS, the people who invented MP3, so the processing pedigree is there. With Spacelab you can produce for any format, whether classic mono or stereo, any surround or 3D speaker layout, or binaural for headphones. Spacelab fits into your Dolby Atmos or MPEG-H production workflow. Mix once, produce for any format.

Gravitas MDS is the dynamics processor. It processes every track format, from mono and stereo up to 64 input channels in plugin mode, while in Reaper on Mac as an AU plugin it handles up to 128 channels. Integrated as a master channel module in the Dolby Atmos Composer and the Mastering Console, Gravitas handles dynamics of all 128 possible channels of a complex Dolby Atmos mix. That's a genuinely clever piece of engineering.

Mastering Console 2 closes the chain. It's the one-stop Dolby Atmos mastering solution with OBAM plug-in hosting for processing your entire Dolby Atmos mixes. It supports album creation with crossfades, sophisticated loudness measurements, and fast workflow. It supports 48 kHz and 96 kHz workflows and batch processing of multiple ADM/BWF files.

How It Performs

We ran a vocal-heavy orchestral cue through this setup in Logic, the kind of session that would normally require routing gymnastics before a single reverb tail hit the Atmos bus.

The Spacelab-to-Composer connection is satisfying. From version 1.5 onwards, Spacelab directly connects to the Dolby Atmos Composer, bringing world-class immersive reverberation to your Dolby Atmos mix with just one click. No complex routing or anything. And on your favourite DAW. We verified this. One click. The reverb tail placed itself in 3D space without us touching an aux send.

We pushed a string section through Spacelab's algorithmic engine with a 2.8-second decay and the pre-delay set to 28ms. The tail spread across the height channels cleanly, with no audible smearing in the 800Hz-2kHz range where strings can turn nasty in reverb-heavy passes. That's a win. Most spatial reverbs at this price point introduce a kind of honky buildup there. Spacelab didn't.

Gravitas MDS on the Atmos master bus is where things get brilliant. Integrated as a master channel module into the Dolby Atmos Composer v1.5 and the Mastering Console, Gravitas MDS becomes the world's first dynamics processor dedicated to tackling mix bus and mastering compression for Dolby Atmos. We set a 2:1 ratio with a slow attack of around 40ms and fast release tracking the room. The 3D image stayed wide. Nothing collapsed toward the centre the way it does with heavy bus compression on stereo chains. That coherence under pressure is what you're paying for.

Mastering Console 2's True Peak Limiter handled a -1dBTP ceiling without audible distortion on the transients. Its loudness measurement system automatically adjusts the LKFS value and engages the True Peak Limiter to keep the master within loudness norms. Clean. No drama.

The Dolby Atmos Composer supports monitoring up to 9.1.6 for speaker monitoring, and you can monitor on speakers and headphones simultaneously, using Dolby's own binaural algorithm or Apple Spatial Audio, even on Windows. That last part matters. Not everyone running an Atmos session has a Mac.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The strength is integration. Every tool in this bundle is built to talk to every other tool. Gravitas MDS inside Mastering Console 2, Spacelab inside the Composer, Beam automating your object paths. Nothing fights. That's rare in a bundle, where you usually get a collection of unrelated plugins wrapped in a discount.

The Fraunhofer IIS reverb engine inside Spacelab is underrated in most coverage of this product. These are not generic algorithms. The spatial accuracy in the diffuse tail, the way energy distributes across height channels at 0.5 seconds into the tail versus 2 seconds, is noticeably more coherent than cheaper spatial reverbs we've tested.

The weaknesses are honest ones. The learning curve is real. Four tools that all integrate means four tools to learn. If you're new to Atmos, Mastering Console 2 alone has enough parameters to intimidate a first session. Complex compression/expansion curves, variable filters for both processing and detection, parameter linking across all instances, variable channel linking, and the 3DET mode in Gravitas are all powerful, but none of it is self-explanatory.

We also wish Fiedler Audio had published third-party benchmark data on CPU usage across competing Atmos reverb solutions. We measured Spacelab Ignition running at moderate CPU draw during a 24-input session, but without published reference numbers, your mileage may vary depending on system spec. Annoying for a tool at this price point.

No confirmed free trial is our other frustration. At $849, blind purchasing is a lot to ask.

Value for the Price

At $849 USD, this bundle asks serious money. But the math works if you need what it does.

Spacelab Ignition standalone is $249. Mastering Console 2 adds significant value on top of that. Buying all four products individually costs $197 more than the bundle price. That's real savings, not a token discount.

The honest comparison: if you need a Dolby Labs-approved Atmos chain that works inside your existing DAW, exports ADM/BWF for streaming platforms, and includes a professional spatial reverb and a mastering suite, there is nothing at this price point that covers all four bases in one purchase. If you only need one piece of this, buy that piece separately.

Who Should (and Shouldn't) Buy This

  • ✅ Buy if you're delivering Atmos content to streaming platforms and hate rebuilding your entire DAW session around a new renderer.
  • ✅ Buy if you're a composer working in any DAW and need an approved Atmos chain that doesn't lock you out of recording mid-mix.
  • ✅ Buy if you want a spatial reverb with Fraunhofer IIS algorithms and a full mastering suite, and you'll actually use all four components.
  • ❌ Skip if you only need a spatial reverb. Buy Spacelab Ignition at $249 and save $600.
  • ❌ Skip if you're just starting out in stereo production. This bundle is built for engineers who already know what they're doing in a mix.
  • ❌ Skip if your DAW already handles Atmos natively and you're happy with your current reverb and dynamics setup.

Alternatives to Consider

Spacelab Ignition alone ($249): If you already have an Atmos routing solution and just need the spatial reverb, skip the bundle. Buy Spacelab Ignition on its own and pocket $600. Best Spatial Reverb Plugins 2026

Dolby Atmos Composer alone: Same logic. If you're happy with your existing reverb and dynamics setup, there's no point buying the full bundle. Check the manufacturer's site for current standalone pricing. Dolby Atmos Production Guide for DAW Users

Valhalla DSP suite (various): Valhalla Room and Valhalla Spatial Audio together cost under $200. They don't give you a Dolby-approved Atmos chain or ADM/BWF export, but if your spatial audio needs stop at stereo-plus-binaural, they're brilliant tools at a fraction of the cost. Halo Delay Review: Better Than EchoBoy, Loses to Valhalla

Nuendo + native Atmos: If you're willing to switch DAWs entirely, Nuendo has native Atmos support baked in. You'd lose your existing DAW and session format. For many engineers, that's a harder pill to swallow than $849. Best Mix and Master Plugin Bundles 2026

This bundle is the right call if you want a complete, Dolby-certified Atmos chain, with a genuinely high-end spatial reverb, inside the DAW you already know, for $849 USD. It's the wrong call if you only need one piece of that puzzle.

Buy the bundle. Master your first Atmos session. Then tell us what the Gravitas MDS 3DET mode does to your drum bus. We'd love to hear it.
