Terms of Service

By using lordreverb.com you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.

1. Who operates this site

LordReverb is currently run by Salvatore Tomaselli, a private individual based in Heerhugowaard, Netherlands ("the operator"). Questions? Email info@lordreverb.com.

The operator may change over time, for example, if the site transitions to a registered business or is transferred to a new owner. See section 9 for how that is handled.

2. What LordReverb is

LordReverb is a website covering music production, plugins, gear and artist tools. It includes editorial content (reviews, guides, comparisons) and community features, Stacks, Playlists, News and Releases, where artists can publicly share their studio setup, pitch tracks to curated playlists, publish press announcements, and promote music releases.

LordReverb does not sell products itself. Some links to third-party retailers and vendors are affiliate links: if you click one and buy something, the operator may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. This is explained in the Affiliate Disclosure. Commissions do not decide what is written or how a product is rated, and submissions to Playlists, News and Releases cannot be bought (see section 4A).

The site is run as a small personal project and its commercial side may grow in the future, which is covered in sections 9 and 15. Where the site links to third-party products, there is no control over their pricing, availability or policies.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, in line with Dutch AVG requirements for digital services. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You can sign in with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email address, via Clerk, our authentication provider. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Accounts may be suspended or removed if they violate these terms, post false or misleading information, or engage in behaviour that damages the site or community.

4. Stacks, your public profile

A Stack is a public profile page showing your studio setup. Your Stack goes public the moment you create it with the "Create my page" button, and everything you add or change afterwards in the Stack form is saved to it automatically as you go. By creating a Stack and ticking the consent checkbox, you agree to the following:

• The information in your Stack is accurate and you have the right to share it.
• Your Stack and all public profile fields, including display name, gear, plugins, social links, studio photo and avatar, are visible to anyone on the internet and may be indexed by search engines.
• You grant the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable licence to display, reproduce and distribute your Stack on lordreverb.com, in marketing and promotional materials, and in connection with the LordReverb brand, including by any successor entity if the site is sold or transferred.
• You confirm you have the rights to any photos you upload.
• You must state truthfully, for your profile photo, background image and text, whether each is your own or AI-generated. We record your answer and the time you gave it. We may add or correct a label, or remove the item, if an answer is wrong or missing. See the AI Policy.

This licence ends when you delete your Stack, except for copies already made in good faith for promotional purposes (e.g. a social post featuring your Stack) which may remain.

Don't impersonate other artists or submit a Stack that misrepresents your setup. Any Stack may be removed at any time if it violates these terms or contains spam or false information.

4A. Playlist pitches, Releases and News (PR) submissions

Signed-in members can pitch a track for a playlist, submit a release, or submit a news or press announcement. By sending a submission you agree to the following:

• You are the artist, or you are authorised to submit this on the artist's behalf, and the information, links, text and cover image you send are accurate and do not infringe anyone's rights.
• Every submission is reviewed by hand. Whether to publish, shorten, edit for format and style, or reject a submission is decided by the operator alone, with or without giving a reason. Sending a submission does not guarantee publication, a playlist placement, or any particular timing.
• You must state truthfully, for your cover image, text and music, whether each is your own or AI-generated. We record your answer and the time you gave it. We may add or correct a label, or remove the item, if an answer is wrong or missing. See the AI Policy.
• Submissions are currently free of charge. Submitting, or anything else, does not buy a place on the site or on a playlist.
• If a submission is accepted, you grant the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, display, reproduce and lightly edit it (for example for length, format and spelling) on lordreverb.com and to promote it on LordReverb's own channels, including through any successor operator (see section 9). This licence ends when the submission is removed at your request, except for copies already made in good faith for promotion (such as a social post), which may remain.
• Tracks added to a playlist on a third-party service such as Spotify are subject to that service's own terms, and the operator may remove them at any time.
• The operator may limit how many submissions an account can send and may remove any submission, or suspend the account, in case of spam, false information or rights infringement.

You can ask for a submission to be corrected or removed, including after publication, by emailing info@lordreverb.com.

4AA. Guest articles

If you send a pitch, an article or a partnership or collaboration proposal to LordReverb (see Write for us and Partner up), you agree to the following:

• You must tell us whether AI was used to create the text, any image or any music, and which parts. Your email, with its date, is kept as proof of what you told us and that you agreed to this section. You must answer any question we ask about this truthfully.
• The article must be your own work or clearly state which parts were made with AI, and it must not infringe anyone's rights.
• Everything we publish falls under the AI Policy. We may add or correct a label, edit the article, or remove it if an answer is wrong or missing.

4B. The Mixtape

Signed-in members with a Stack page can send one Spotify track per month to the LordReverb Mixtape. The Mixtape guidelines are part of these terms. In short:

• The track is your own music, or you have the right to share it, and it is already available on Spotify. We link to it and play it with Spotify's own player; we do not host your audio.
• Tracks are chosen by hand by the operator. It is an editorial choice, not a competition: there are no votes, rankings or prizes, and sending a track does not guarantee that it is featured.
• Featuring is free and cannot be bought. We do not count or reward streams, and we do not accept artificial streaming.
• If your track is featured, you allow the operator to show it on lordreverb.com with your artist name, genre, the line you wrote and a link to your Stack, and to mention it on LordReverb's social media and newsletter. You keep all rights to your music.
• You can ask for your track to be removed at any time by emailing info@lordreverb.com. The operator may also remove a track or entry that breaks these terms.

5. Community research data

The Stack form includes an optional section where you can share information about your production habits and preferences, such as experience level, tool usage, purchasing behaviour and workflow preferences. This data is never shown publicly.

By providing this data and ticking the consent checkbox, you agree that it may be used for the following purposes:

• Conducting anonymous audience research about the music production market.
• Improving site content, features and product development.
• Internal business analytics, including after any transition to a commercial entity or change of ownership.
• Demonstrating aggregate audience insights to potential partners, advertisers or acquirers, in anonymised, non-attributable form only.

This data will not be used to send you unsolicited individual marketing communications, sold as a list to third parties, or shared in a form that identifies you personally without your separate explicit consent.

It is deleted when you delete your account.

6. Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter, you consent to receiving email communications from LordReverb. These may include content updates, product announcements, industry insights and, if the site becomes commercial, relevant offers. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

Your newsletter subscription transfers with the site in the event of a sale or change of operator. The new operator will be required to honour your consent choices and unsubscribe requests.

7. Deleting your Stack and account

You can delete your Stack at any time from your account page. You can request deletion of your entire account from your account page too. When you do, I delete your account, your Stack, your unfinished Stack draft, your community research data, your uploaded images (including those stored on Cloudflare R2) and your Playlist, Release and News submissions by hand, and confirm by email, within 30 days of your request. Until then your Stack stays online. Deletion is permanent. Pages already published from your submissions are removed from the site when the site is next rebuilt.

Aggregated and anonymised data derived from your submissions, where it is no longer possible to identify you, is not subject to deletion requests, in line with GDPR Recital 26.

7A. Reporting content and removals

Anyone can report content they believe is illegal, infringing, or wrongly labelled through the report form. I review reports by hand and tell the reporter what I decided and why.

If I remove or restrict a submission, Stack or label, I tell the member by email what I did and why, and that they can reply to info@lordreverb.com to object. The single point of contact for users and authorities is info@lordreverb.com (English or Dutch).

8. Site content

All editorial content on LordReverb, articles, reviews, guides, images, is the work of the operator or is used with permission. Don't copy, reproduce or redistribute it without written permission.

Many articles are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by the editor before publication, and some images are AI-generated. See the AI Policy.

Real effort goes into keeping content accurate, but accuracy and completeness cannot always be guaranteed. See the Disclaimer for more.

9. Change of operator and transfer of ownership

LordReverb may at any point transition from a personal project to a registered business, or be sold, merged or transferred to a new owner ("successor operator"). When this happens:

• Personal data held by LordReverb, including account data, Stack data, community research data and newsletter subscriptions, will transfer to the successor operator as part of that transaction.
• The successor operator will be required to honour the data commitments in these terms and the Privacy Policy in effect at the time of transfer.
• You will be notified by email at least 30 days before any such transfer takes place.
• You will have the right to delete your account and all associated data before the transfer, at no consequence to you.
• After the transfer, the successor operator becomes the new data controller and is responsible for all data obligations.

This clause exists to be transparent about a realistic future event, not because a sale is planned or imminent.

10. Intellectual property

The LordReverb name, logo and all original editorial content are the property of the operator. All rights reserved. Use of the brand or content without written permission is not permitted.

Music on LordReverb. The songs and song snippets in the "From the studio" section and in the Listen player are original works by Lord Reverb. © Lord Reverb. All rights reserved. They are shared for listening on this site only, for the community. Listening gives you no licence or other right in the music. Without the prior written permission of the operator you may not download, record, rip or copy the music, redistribute or re-upload it, publicly perform it, sample or remix it, use it in videos, streams, podcasts or other productions, or use it to train or improve any artificial intelligence or machine-learning system.

11. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

• Scrape or systematically download content from LordReverb without permission.
• Download, record, rip, copy, redistribute or reuse the music on LordReverb, or use it to train an AI system (see section 10).
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its infrastructure.
• Post spam, fake reviews or misleading information in Stacks.
• Impersonate another artist or submit false gear information.
• Submit false, misleading, or rights-infringing content to Playlists, News or Releases.
• Interfere with or disrupt the site's operation.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, the operator of LordReverb is not liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, including decisions made based on its content.

13. Third-party links

LordReverb links to external sites. There is no responsibility for their content, privacy practices or terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Alkmaar, Netherlands.

15. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated at any time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. For significant changes, including any commercial transition or change of operator, registered users will be notified by email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the site after that period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
