Excite Audio has announced Bloom Ensemble Mallets, the latest addition to its Bloom instrument series. The plugin is built around a library of tuned percussion sources, including vibraphones, marimbas, glockenspiels, bells, and pianos, and is designed to let producers drop in melodic mallet textures without building patches from scratch.

The instrument works by converting loops, one-shots, and phrases into playable mallet voices, spanning solo lines through to layered ensemble arrangements. Excite Audio lists electronic, ambient, downtempo, and cinematic production as the primary use cases, citing artists like Pantha Du Prince, Bonobo, Four Tet, and Floating Points as reference points for the sound palette.

Controls include three effects and four performance macros, and a new feature allows users to import their own samples into the instrument. The plugin ships in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats for both Mac and PC, with Lite and Full versions available exclusively through Plugin Boutique.

Bloom Ensemble Mallets is available now with an introductory price starting at $19, down from a standard price of $29. The sale runs through November 30, 2026, and the plugin is also available on a rent-to-own basis.
