Avantone Pro has announced the GTR-100, a two-channel Class A/B power amplifier aimed at guitarists who rely on amp modelers and effects processors rather than traditional tube rigs. Priced at $599 USD, it goes up for pre-order September 1, 2026, with shipping expected late Q3 or early Q4.

The unit puts out 100 watts per channel at 8 ohms, 140 watts per channel at 4 ohms, or 245 watts in bridged mono at 8 ohms. Switchable Line and Instrument inputs handle different signal sources, and stereo operation means players can bring wide, stereo-spread effects rigs to the stage without collapsing to mono. A switchable 4-band EQ lets players compensate for room and venue differences without digging into their modeler’s presets.

One useful addition for live use is the XLR THRU output with an optional analog cabinet simulation, which lets players send a signal straight to front-of-house without putting a microphone in front of a cabinet. A 14-stage metering system keeps gain staging visible at a glance, and protection circuitry with front-panel LED indicators watches for conditions that could damage the amp or speakers.
